The overall aim of our non -profit organisation is saving animals in distress. Since our big move in 2021 to the reservation on a new location we have already realized a great many things. We are now facing the challenge of building the cat shelter for the accommodation of kittens and cats. This shelter will have a capacity of about 50 animals.

The building we have in mind measures about 50 square meter but we are planning to add another 16 square meter for a quarantine room which can be accessed from to outside so we can guarantee a safe and hygienic working of the shelter.

This is what the already existing building will look like:

A nursery room for kittens and mothers and their kittens as they have other needs regarding special food and care.

Two bigger rooms where we will have sterilized cats living together and sharing the space. Each group will be composed of individuals that are suited in age and personality, so we will look for characters that can live together harmoniously.

A storage space where we can safely stock all products like litter boxes, pellets, food in general, medicines and blankets and of course also all the cleaning material. This room will also be used as a kind of office and kitchen where we prepare the food and keep their medicine and where the vet can examine the animals if need be.

Finally there will be a mini-room with sanitary facilities for our volunteers.

Furthermore each of these rooms will have an enclosed outdoor area where cats can roam free and enjoy grass and open air along a safe cat-friendly trail. We will also provide plenty of ‘entertainment’ there because we know cats love to climb and sleep on higher levels.
